This year’s programme, starting with the ceremonial lighting of the festive lights on 5 December, will fill the city with concerts, a wealth of fun activities for children, delightful culinary experiences, and many other surprises, all coming together to create an unforgettable festive atmosphere.

This spring, the Karst Edge and its surroundings once again welcome a series of popular outdoor activities as part of Weekends on the edge!
Three weekends, from April 24 to May 10, will offer a diverse range of sports activities suitable for all generations, interests, and levels of physical fitness.
Cycling, climbing, and hiking are just some of the activities from the well-established “core repertoire” of Weekends on the edge, traditionally complemented by a variety of accompanying events.
Many of the activities start at the Kraški rob Visitor Center, where you can also find plenty of useful information for actively exploring the Karst Edge.

Wine lovers, take note! From 15 to 17 May, the 53. Festival of Refosco and Slovenian Istria returns to Marezige.
For 53 years, this event has celebrated the king of Istrian red grape varieties – Refosco. This year again, it promises a vibrant programme featuring a rich food and wine offering, immersive wine experiences, live music, and other accompanying events.
The highlight of the festival will once more be the crowning of the King of Refosco, taking place on Sunday, 17 May. More details about the programme will follow.
