You are invited to a guided walk through the picturesque village of Podpeč! Local people will guide you through its hidden corners and reveal the rich history of the village. You will visit the famous tower, the Church of St. Helena and the Prkič homestead. Join us and experience the pulse of Podpeč.

13:00 Visit to the Kocjančič Memorial Room in the house of Alojz Kocjančič in Kubed “na Gradu”
14:00 Hike along the Alojz Kocjančič circular route from Kubed to Gračiš and back (meeting point “na Gradu” in Kubed)
The hike is led by the Koper Coastal Mountaineering Association.
Difficulty: medium difficulty, dirt tracks, paths.
After the hike there will be a banquet – bobichi for the hikers.
17:00 Cultural programme in memory of Alojz Kocjančič
After the cultural programme, the Kubeda wives will provide a feast and will prepare cakes.

Silvo Karo presents “light and fast”
Silvo Karo has been climbing since 1977, has made more than 2000 climbs and has taken part in 27 mountaineering and climbing expeditions. Recipient of numerous awards. Since 1981 he has been involved in high-end mountaineering. He actively contributed to the golden years of Slovenian mountaineering. His mountaineering career, which ranged from 8000 metres in the Himalayas to 8a in sport climbing, was most marked by the great walls of Fitz Roy, Cerro Torre and Torre Egger in Patagonia and Bhagirathi in the Himalayas.

The route will be adjusted to a length of between 9 and 10 km, walking time between 3 and 3,5 hours.
