16. Summer concerts at Taverna Koper 2023: Anika Horvat

ANIKA HORVAT "Acoustic Concert"Anika Horvat - voice Lean Luigi Kozlar - guitar Gabrijel Juriševič - guitarAnika Horvat started her musical career at the age of 9. She was introduced to the world of music by her father Ferry Horvat, a renowned Slovenian musician and composer. Together with the well-known music group Bazar and Marin Legovic, they created Anika's first solo album Pomlad in še kaj. Performances began to follow - at children's and school events as well as at various music festivals in Slovenia and beyond, where she achieved high rankings and first places. Anika's real breakthrough came when she won the MMS Summer Festival in 1996 with the song "Lahko noč, Piran", immediately followed by the release of a CD with the same title. She has collaborated several times with the RTV Slovenia Big Band, performed at many high-profile festivals, where she achieved enviable rankings (Slovenska popevka festival, EMA). She has released numerous solo albums, albums of arrangements of the most beautiful Slovenian evergreens, where she was accompanied by the RTV Slovenia Big Band, recorded interesting duets (Klemen Klemen), organised various concerts at the most prominent Slovenian venues (solo concerts, concerts with the RTV Slovenia Big Band), and she has also released an album for children (Od pike do Acota). Some time ago, she released the album Ko se prebuja dan. Anika Horvat will present herself in Koper with an acoustic concert and her most beautiful original compositions as well as arrangements that have influenced her musically throughout her career.
