Amabile with the Museum – 6th concert: Contrast brass quintet

Contrast brass quintet The members of the ensemble first came together in 2012 and since then they have been performing regularly on numerous stages in Slovenia (Festival Lent, Festival Ljubljana, Imago Sloveniae, Musical Youth of Slovenia) and abroad (Germany, Italy, Croatia, Czech Republic, Oman, Bosnia and Herzegovina, etc.). Their repertoire includes compositions from the Renaissance, Baroque, Romantic, to Ragtime, 20th century music and contemporary works. The quintet won the gold plaque and first prize at the TEMSIG 2013 Competition for Young Slovene Musicians and was the overall winner in the chamber ensemble category at the Svirel 2014 International Competition. It was also awarded first prize at the Giovani Musicisti International Competition in Treviso. Their greatest success is the 1st prize at the International Jan Koetsier Competition in Munich (2014), where they were also awarded a recording for Bavarian Radio. They have recorded two CDs in the course of their career. The 6th concert of the Amabile with the Museum series will take place on 4 June at 19:30 in the  hall of the Koper Regional Museum.
