Ani Frece and Hotel za srečo – Jazz in Hendrix

The debut album of the genre-versatile singer Ani Frece, as well as her accompanying band, is reminiscent of the old days. But it is far from being the case that the music on it is primarily inspired by chanson, swing, jazz, bossa nova, manouche, cabaret, pop, tango and any other genre associated with the golden age of music. This is rather suggested by the acoustic line-up consisting of guitarist and composer Marko Mozetič Mozo, guitarist Marko Čepak Maki, accordionist Zmago Štih and contrabassist Nikola Matošić. There is also the collaboration with the poet Tomaž Letnar, author of most of the lyrics, and the pure, sometimes accentuated articulation with which the songs were interpreted by the singers of the sixties and seventies. Taking all this into account, Hotel za srečo (Hotel for happiness) offers a holistic experience that takes the listener on a journey that ultimately leads to the most important place in the world: oneself.
