The fifth edition of the Šelestenja Festival, running from November 6 to December 4, will once again offer a high-quality, genre-diverse selection of music, ensuring that every music enthusiast finds something to enjoy.
NOVEMBER 6 AT 8 P.M.: PRIZMA
The legendary Prizma band continues to impress as it celebrates its 50th anniversary
We will begin with a touch of nostalgia. The legendary Istrian band Prizma, celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, will open the festival. To mark this special anniversary, Prizma's original members, Ladi Mljač and Franci Čelhar, will return to the stage as an acoustic trio, joined by renowned guitarist Matjaž Švagelj. Together, they will revive unforgettable hits that have shaped generations and the Slovenian music scene. They will be joined by drummer Bogdan Turnšek-Poly and bassist Giovanni Toffoloni for a special concert at the St. Francis of Assisi Hall, as part of the Šelestenja Festival.

NOVEMBER 13 AT 8 P.M.: PHOENIX PIANO QUARTET
An eight-hand musical delight in Koper
Four exceptional pianists Claudia Sedmach, Tamara Ražem Locatelli, Beatrice Zonta and Tatjana Jercog, united in the Phoenix Piano Quartet, promise an eight-hand musical delight. Performing on two pianos, the quartet delivers a unique sound experience, as their eight-hand performance creates an even richer array of sounds. They will perform compositions specifically written for this type of ensemble, along with popular orchestral works presented in a fresh interpretation.

Sophisticated musical realms by Duo Silence in Koper
Duo Silence, featuring Primož Hladnik and Boris Benko, has been one of the most recognizable ensembles on the Slovenian music scene for nearly three decades, earning a cult status among music enthusiasts. They have released five studio albums and collaborated extensively in theater, leaving a significant mark in the productions of the late director Tomaž Pandur. In recent years, they have also been very active in film, contributing to works such as Slovenka, Trigrad, and Odrešitev za začetnike. The concert at the St. Francis of Assisi Hall will be a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the subtle, melancholic, and sophisticated musical realms of Duo Silence.

DECEMBER 4 AT 8 P.M.: Aldo Kumar: DIHI, Slovenian Philharmonic Choir
70th birthday celebration of composer Aldo Kumar featuring the Slovenian Philharmonic Choir
To celebrate the 70th birthday of Aldo Kumar, one of Slovenia's most prominent composers, we invite you to a concert featuring the Slovenian Philharmonic Choir, conducted by Ana Erčulj, as they perform some of his most significant works. Kumar, who studied under Lojze Lebič and Alojz Srebotnjak, is renowned for his compositions for symphony orchestras, choirs, and film. His works have resonated both locally and internationally, becoming a staple on the concert stage. Masterpieces such as Istrska suita, Čelo Alp, and Tehtanje duš will be featured at this special event, marking the conclusion of the fifth edition of the Šelestenja Festival.
