The first chapter of the Wish You Were Here series was conceived in Lisbon, Portugal in 2016, and the second in Fulda, Germany in April 2017 as part of the Meta City Symptoms artists’ association.

About the author:
Francisco Tomsich is an artist born in 1981 in Uruguay. Since 2000, he has been working on exhibitions, publications, stage works, collective platforms, non-disciplinary research models and pedagogical tools, using different media, languages and vernaculars. He has exhibited and published internationally and has received numerous grants and awards. His work is distinguished by its attention to the material conditions of production in a concrete space and time, and by the need to create a critical dialogue between images of the past, conceptions of the present and active models of the future. He often deals with portraiture in relation to friendship and distance, and with allegory as a model of composition.
