CENTURIES-OLD VINEYARD TOUR
Welcome to the home of the Refosco.

Explore a centuries-old Refosco vineyard, the oldest in Europe, enjoy a wine tasting at a boutique wine cellar, and visit the Marezige Wine Fountain.
ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE

With a stunning view of Koper and the Gulf of Trieste, you’ll explore the homestead, delve into a piece of Istrian history, and enjoy the wine cellar. You’ll stroll to the Lunčevec vineyard, where, in 1880, Refosco vines were originally and sustainably planted. The wine from these ancient vines matures for at least a year in oak barrels within a boutique winery. In the vineyard or by the fireplace, you can savor an Istrian “marenda” (brunch) just like the ancestors used to enjoy—featuring dried meats and freshly baked homemade bread.
In Marezige, at the first wine fountain in Slovenia, you can taste other local wines and delicious Istrian delicacies.
The experience includes:
visiting a homestead overlooking the Bay of Koper
a walk through a vineyard planted in 1880
wine tasting in the wine cellar
Istrian brunch (marenda) with typical Istrian delicacies
tasting local wines at Slovenia’s first wine fountain
