ABOUT EXPERIENCE

What will we do?
The “Sweet Waterfall” experience includes a walk through orchards and olive groves, and a visit to Stranice Waterfall, the highest waterfall in Istria.
At Marima Organic Farm, fruit growing has been a tradition for generations. We specialize in traditional fruit drying, using a wooden eco-friendly dryer where we process our own organic fruit (persimmons, figs, plums, apricots, pears, apples, raisins). We also cultivate olive trees and produce extra virgin olive oil.
Our family will guide you through the natural surroundings and show you traditional work in the orchards and olive groves. You can harvest fruit and help dry it in the organic dryer. After the tour and demonstration, we’ll treat you to a tasting of various types of dried fruit and extra virgin olive oil.
Over a relaxed chat, we’ll share the secrets of life in Istria, past and present — and make sure you leave with beautiful memories.
Where will we go?
We offer a circular walking trail around the village of Trebeše (30 min walk), where you will see:
Stranice Waterfall, the highest flysch waterfall in Slovenian Istria
our organic olive grove at 330 m above sea level, planted on 43% inclined terraces where only manual work is possible
and our organic fruit drying facility
