Slovenian Istria also offers a wide range of hiking trails that lead through charming Istrian villages, past historic castles and forts, alongside rivers and waterfalls, through olive groves and vineyards, and all the way to the sea.

Popular hiking trails include the Istria Panorama Trail (Pot čudovitih razgledov Istre), the Circular Trail through the Šavrin Hills, the Parenzana Trail, the Hrastovlje Heritage Trail (Pot po dediščini Hrastovelj), the Pomjan Fairytale (Pomjanska pravljica), The Sun Trail (Pot po soncu), and the Green Learning Trail – Smokvica.
