Just outside Koper, in Manžan, Butul Farm is a family run estate where generations have lovingly grown excellent wines and olive oil. On the sunny hills of Slovenian Istria they grow Malvasia, Refošk, Istrian Muscat and Cabernet Sauvignon organically.

Their boutique wines, under the Butul Wine Selection label, are sold in 27 countries and on wine lists and in wine shops.

By arrangement guests can enjoy wine tastings, themed workshops, olive oil tasting, meet local farmers, winemakers and fishermen. The olive groves cover two hectares and are part of the European cultural route “The Routes of Olive Tree”. Olives are hand picked and pressed within six hours to ensure the best quality.

In the farm’s boutique you will find over 150 handcrafted products to take home – from herbs, jams, preserves, wine and olive oil to exclusive artisanal specialties.

All of this is curated by Črt Butul, a chef known for his creativity, commitment to biodiversity and ability to blend tradition with modern cuisine. Every experience at Butul Farm is a love letter to the land, the people and the culture of Istria – in time and place.
