The Vrešje House hosts an ethnological collection that depicts life in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Upon entering, a friendly hostess in Istrian costume greets you with wine and olive oil. The interior of the house comes alive with exhibits, including a kitchen with a fireplace where you can smell freshly baked polenta and bread, and a bedroom adorned with embroideries known as “bala.”
The house is also unique because it is built on a rock, giving the ground floor a natural stone floor look. Next to the house is a water spring that flows into a stone pool, which was once used for laundry. The wine cellar under the house is equipped with wine-making tools, adding an authentic touch to the historic atmosphere..
