Victoria Pfeil – saxophone, voice

Trio Akk:zent comes from Austria. It is a unique and unusual musical ensemble consisting of two accordions and a saxophone. The ensemble conquered the audience in  2011, when it was founded by Paul Schubert, Johannes Münzner and Victoria Pfeil. The driving force behind the ensemble is the classically trained Paul Schuberth, considered one of the most renowned Austrian accordionists of the younger generation. In 2018 he completed his studies at the Bruckner University Linz. Despite his young age, he has numerous collaborations, appearances at renowned festivals and awards under his belt. He is a multiple winner of national and international prizes in playing and composing competitions. The band plays original compositions and has recorded several CD albums (Sweet desert – 2016, Solidaire – 2014, “So oder so” – 2012) and toured in Austria, Uzbekistan, South Africa, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Slovenia, Slovakia, Romania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, etc. In their original music, the musicians wander between jazz, world music and contemporary experimental music. In recent years, the ensemble has collaborated with many renowned accordionists such as Maria Kalaniemi, Guy Klucevsek, Otto Lechner and Bratko Bibič.

The concert is organised in cooperation with the Austrian Cultural Forum.
