The majority of the city’s most beautiful places are accessible to people with reduced mobility.

The roads are very well maintained, only the paved streets of the old city centre can be a bit harder to manoeuvre for some people. Areas that are harder to access are part of Čevljarska ulica Street (in the direction of Gortanov trg Square) and some parts of side streets of the old city centre (e.g. part of Pobočna ulica Street), since those feature stairs.

The paths by the sea, both those along the gulf and the one to Izola, are well maintained and suitable for people with reduced mobility.

Moving throughout the city is also facilitated by Kurjerca – a smaller electric vehicle that is available every day between 8am and 6pm. You can hail the Kurjerca by simply raising your hand when it drives by or you can book a ride by calling the number +386 (0)51 488 000. Users ride free of charge.

Many places of accommodation and restaurants are adapted for people with disabilities and some ATMs, public spaces and public toilets are also adjusted for people with reduced mobility. All city carparks have special parking spaces reserved for people with disabilities.

People with reduced mobility can also access the city centre from the passenger terminal via an elevator.

In the city, you can also find a park with a swing for people who require a wheelchair (park in Vojkovo nabrežje).
