Tourist information centre (TIC )

The TIC has a shop selling souvenirs, promotional products of the destination and other typical products from Slovenian Istria. These include the best wines and olive oils of Koper, liqueurs, salt mixtures, spreads, various cosmetics and other unique products.

Barba fusion salt showroom

The boutique store offers an assortment of various local products and salt and spice mixtures of their own Barba salt brand. It is the salt and salt flower from Piran, enriched with natural additives such as peppers, different herbs, wine and other interesting additions.

Okusi Istre - Wine bar & Bottle shop

Wine bar and shop with local products. They offer quality wines, spirits, olive oil and other local products (home-made jams, spices, chocolate). They will gladly advise you, while the wine tasting will make your visit even more interesting.

Istranka

At the Istranka shop and tourist agency, you can buy various souvenirs and typical Slovenian products. They have also prepared various trip programmes for everyone who would like to get to know our region better. Maybe you will choose a different souvenir of Koper – a trip to the surrounding area.

Da Ponte chocolate shop

The Koper chocolate shop Da Ponte offers sweet delights from own production. Among their sweet assortment, the various chocolate pralines and other sweet delights stand out, which will remind you of your visit to Koper.

Wine boutique "Hiša refoška"

The Hiša refoška shop belonging to the Vinakoper wine cellar, the largest wine cellar in Koper, offers a rich assortment of awarded high quality Istrian wines and other Istrian treats, such as products with truffles, cheeses, cured meat products and other genuine Istrian specialities. The shop also offers various gift baskets, while the modern wine boutique gives you the chance to taste wine samples that have been produced at the Vinakoper wine cellar with love and respect for over 70 years and thus you will get to know the entire wealth of Istria in one place.

Marketplace

Like all true Mediterranean towns, Koper has a marketplace or a space, where locals regularly meet, chat and shop. It is liveliest on Saturday mornings, when most people visit the marketplace and usually conclude their shopping with a cup of coffee in the nearby cafés.

The marketplace is open from Monday to Saturday (with the exception of public holidays) from 7am to 1pm.

Local farmers sell their produce at the market stalls. Test the fresh and full taste of local fruits and vegetables and ask the sellers for advice on the best way to prepare dishes from local produce.

Near the market you can also find two fish markets, where you can choose among the selection of fresh fish.

Shopping centres

Koper has also some shopping centres, which will welcome you with several different stores. Free parking spaces are available around the centres, while the centres also feature restaurants and bars so that you can keep up your strength while shopping. In Koper you will find the following centres:

In Koper, city merchants, caterers and other providers from the city center are merged into the Zavod Koper Otok. Together, with various campaigns and benefits, they strive to get as many people as possible to shop in the old town of Koper.
