You are invited to  the exhibition: Bibliotheca iustinopolitana – The book treasury of Koper, which will be on display from 16 February – 12 March 2024, in the Old Loggia (at the entrance to Čevljarska Street).

The Book treasury of Koper is located in the former Brutti Palace on Brolo Square, where the city’s half-millennial cultural book heritage is kept. Among the most valuable books are the Greek codex, the Rule of St. Francis, the Land Registry of the Benedictine monastery of S. Nicolo’ d’Oltra (Ancarano), the incunabulum of Vergerio the Elder, the antiphonaries codices in “Atlantic” format, and the Summa Aurea of B. Monaldo of Justinopolis. The 1500-year history of Justinopolis – Koper is reflected in these works.

The exhibition was prepared by Peter Štoka (author), Ivan Marković (proofreader), Luana Malec (director).
