The exhibition was conceived on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of the birth of Gian Rinaldo Carli (Capodistria, 1720 – Cusano Milanino, 1795) and the 250th anniversary of the death of Giuseppe Tartini (Pirano, 1692 – Padua, 1770). Carli was a distinguished personality of the European eighteenth century, scholar, university professor in Padua, animator of the cultural life of the city’s academies and beyond, renowned economist, while Tartini is known as a great composer, famous violinist and formidable performer recognized at European level in the eighteenth century, as well as an appreciated professor of music, scientist and philosopher.
