Giuseppe Tartini, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

EMONA STRING QUARTET is a young, uprising Slovenian chamber group, which was officially formed in September 2018. Prior to this, they played together in different chamber ensembles during their studies on Academy of music Ljubljana. The group consists of: Tim Skalar Demšar – violin, Neža Capuder – violin, Tilen Udovič – viola, Katarina Kozjek – cello.

Since 2018 they have been working as a quartet in the class of prof. Janez Podlesek and this year in class of prof. Emile Cantor. They regularly perform at many music evenings and festivals and improve their skills with various professors such as Helfried Fister, Goran Bakrač, Wendy Enderle – Champney. In 2020, they won the 1st prize and a special commendation for the performance of a composition by a Slovenian composer at the slovenian national competition TEMSIG, and in may 2021 they won the 1st prize at the international competition Concorso Musicale Palmanova. All members of the quartet successfully participate in domestic and foreign competitions as soloists, and regularly collaborate with renowned orchestras and choirs in Slovenia, including the Slovenian Philharmonic, the RTV Symphony Orchestra, the SNG State Opera.
