St Bassus Church

The single-nave, aisleless St Bassus Church in the Baroque style was built in the 16^th century and renovated at the beginning of the 18^th century.

It was built on the spot, where a city shelter for the poor and foreigners was located in the 15^th century and where the first city hospital stood.

In this church, you can admire one of the oldest preserved depictions of the crucified Jesus in Slovenia.
