This square and its small park are located behind the former Madonizza Palace which currently houses the headquarters of the municipal administration of the Municipality of Koper.
Pietro Paolo Vergerio Jr. (who gave his name to the square) was a bishop and a Protestant writer from Koper.
In the square, you will also notice his statue.
