On 15 September 1947, a block between the zone A and the zone B of the Free Territory of Trieste was established in Cepki on the basis of the Paris Peace Treaty. Subsequently, also a guardhouse (military facility) was built, which is included in the Register of immovable cultural heritage of the Republic of Slovenia.

This register also includes the collector and treatment plant of the Rižana water pipeline (area with an old water plant or treatment plant, main reservoir and main pipeline that delivers water to Koper).
