After two years, the big carnival party is back in Koper and the masks will create a playful atmosphere and chase away the winter.
The festivities will begin in the morning with the program for children, and will continue with the parade and the carnival party.
Program:
9.30-10.00: party with the magician Zlatko
10.00–10.50: entertainment for children: carnival dances, theatre performances and carnival games
11.00: start of the parade at the Bonifika stadium and party with the Trio Teci teci group
13.00: award ceremony
The 13th Istrian Carnival Parade will start on Saturday, February 18, at 11 am. Ethnographic masks, carnival groups and allegorical floats will present themselves to visitors along the Ljubljana Road and Pristaniška Street with the finish at the Taverna.

During the event the traffic regime in the city centre will be changed and the main streets will be closed.
A carnival market will be held in the Old Harbour, in the France Prešeren Square and in the square near the building of the former maritime administration. Many vendors will provide delicious sweet and salty treats as well as a gift program:
