ICE-SKATING RINK & AMUSEMENT PARK ON UKMAR SQUARE

This year, Ukmar Square will be the heart of winter fun. Glide across the ice at the rink with one of the most beautiful seaside views, and enjoy the nearby amusement park – a perfect spot for families to enjoy carefree fun, music and a festive cheer.

WINTER VILLAGE ON CARPACCIO SQUARE

The festively decorated wooden huts will serve tea, hot chocolate, mulled wine, sweet, crispy fritters known locally as miške, and other tasty treats to warm you up on December days and evenings. With its cosy atmosphere, the village will be the perfect place to meet up with friends and family, chat and savour moments by the sea.

CONCERTS & NEW YEAR’S EVE AT THE TAVERNA

On weekends, Taverna will turn into a lively concert venue featuring Elvis Jackson & Free the Mouse, Anika Horvat, Zucchero Tribute, Gušti, Cover Lover and many others – making every night something special. We’ll bid farewell to the year with an unforgettable New Year’s Eve celebration at the Taverna, where the legendary band Šank Rock will set the stage for a spectacular start to the new year.

LIGHT PROJECTION ON THE FAÇADE OF THE PRAETORIAN PALACE

Each evening, Tito Square will come alive with a stunning light show on the façade of the Praetorian Palace, telling stories in light, colour and festive motifs – one of the most enchanting sights of December in Koper.

SANTA'S POST OFFICE AT THE PRAETORIAN PALACE

Children are invited to the magical Praetorian Palace where friendly elves await! They'll help you write your letter to Santa and post it at his special festive mailbox. A fairy-tale forest of fir trees glowing with festive lights will guide your way there through Tito Square.

WINTER GIFT-BRINGERS AND CHILDREN'S NEW YEAR'S EVE PARTY

The festive December will be especially magical for children! St Nicholas will visit Koper on Saturday 6 December during the lights switch-on in Tito Square. Santa Claus will follow on Friday 20 December, bringing songs, gifts and good cheer. A children’s New Year’s Eve Party will take place on Monday 30 December, featuring a joyful concert by Romana Kranjčan – before Father Frost arrives to bid farewell to the old year and welcome the new.

ADVENT WALKS: EXPLORING KOPER’S MASCARONS

Embark on a magical Advent walk through festive Koper and uncover the mysterious stone faces – the mascarons – that adorn the façades of the town’s palaces. Discover their stories and meanings, accompanied by music and narration.

CHARITY FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN

Radio Capris, in cooperation with the Zveza prijateljev mladine charity, is once again organising the annual festive fundraising campaign– the largest charity initiative in Slovenian Istria. Running from 1 to 31 December, the campaign will collect funds to help families before the holidays, supporting school costs, summer camps and other essential needs.

The Radio Capris team will broadcast live all month long from a mobile studio, located this year right by the sea (next to the former Maritime Administration), including on weekends and holidays.
