A major survey exhibition of the Croatian artist Nemanja Cvijanović opens the rich programme year 2023. The first major presentation of this artist, who has been working successfully in the Croatian and international arena, in Slovenia, is being prepared by the Piran Coastal Galleries in collaboration with a number of partners (Municipality of Piran, Municipality of Koper, Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Slovenia, Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Croatia, Municipality of Rijeka, Rijeka City Museum, Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung Beograd).

The exhibition entitled Square of the Indifferent is the result of the artist’s selection of key works from a creatively and exhibitionally fruitful period of two decades. A wide range of media expressions will be presented in four exhibition venues in Piran and Koper – the Piran City Gallery, the Meduza and Loža Galleries, and the Libertas Koper Warehouse: photographs, paintings, ceramics, collages, video, prints, installations, and multi-media creations. The arrangement of the different locations does not follow a chronological sequence, but highlights the artist’s intention to give his conceptually strong works an appropriate spatial setting and the opportunity to establish an exciting dialogue with the viewer.
