The documentary  “Pozabljeni” produced by the Regional TV  Koper – Capodistria brings a stone in the mosaic of the historical experience of the people of Primorje and Istria during fascism: how thousands were forced to leave their homes, some as Italian soldiers, others as internees; how they lived and survived in exile in the south of Italy and how, after its capitulation, they joined the partisan army in overseas brigades and played an important role in the final battles of the country’s liberation. After the war, they had to fight for their status for years, as they were treated as second-class partisans.

The film takes us to the Italian region of Puglia, to the camp in Gravina, Campo 65, where the remains of the walls still bear witness to the Slovenes. Their memory is also preserved by the local inhabitants.
