A salt warehouse was located next to the square and could be reached immediately from the old port.
The Gothic house (Gramscijev trg 4 and 5) is a typical representative of a “casa a gheffo”: the building has a storey pier leaning on carved support beams made of wood.
The building houses the ethnological collection of the Regional Museum of Koper.
