The event “Koper na dlani” is usually celebrated at the same time as the municipal holiday. Various stands by the sea are occupied by local communities and associations, presenting a wide audience with their products, customs, and cuisine. This event is interesting for both local and tourists, since it enables them to familiarise themselves with the rich history, cuisine, and traditions of our region.
In the framework of the event, Istrian Games (Istrske igre) are also held: the competitors face off in various competitions, such as tug of war, playing “briškola” and “mora” (traditional card games from the region), sack race, and other traditional Istrian social activities.
